A reimagined bank in a university town, designed as a hub for creativity, collaboration, and entrepreneurship.
In a digital-first banking world, the Hatfield Student Centre set out to redefine what a student bank could be, transforming it from a transactional space into a creative and entrepreneurial hub.
The design invites students to experience the brand through community and collaboration, offering flexible spaces to work, meet, and launch their own ideas. A modular event area shifts seamlessly from a private meeting space with study pods to a presentation space for various talks and exhibitions, allowing the environment to evolve with its users.
In partnership with local artists, the bank’s walls become a rotating gallery, celebrating emerging talent while strengthening its connection to the community. An in branch coffee shop and business incubation hub complete the ecosystem, creating a space to connect, create, and grow.
The result is a branch that moves beyond banking by empowering the next generation of entrepreneurs while bringing the brand’s values to life in a way that feels relevant, social, and deeply embedded in student culture.
